Chapter 2 blue eyes

SAANJ POV :

Along with my roommate and closest friend, I got ready for the day in my college.
Room: It is not yet decided if we will stay in a dorm or a private guest house, but for the time being, like arrived yesterday, it is not feasible to settle in a single day, right?
We will therefore be staying in a hostel for a few days before looking for a place to live for the next few years.

"Saanj yaar hogaya tera ?, late ho jayenge yaar." (Saanj, you are done; we will be late.)
With frustration, my friend Krista yelled my name.

"Ha yaar hoga, nahi honge aur saje kaha hai,"
Yes, my friend, and no, we will not be late. Now, tell me where Saje is.
I questioned as I descended the hostel's stairs.

"She went on to say that she needed to send in some paperwork."

"Mmm" as we strolled through the campus, laughing and chatting.

I have admitted for vetarnary studies and she has bio medical.
And Saje has pharmacy so we are gonna separate our ways in the campus corridor but since it is first day every fresher student is gather in the main hall for the guest speech.
When we arrived, the majority of the girls were waiting for someone outside the hallway.
They were touching up their makeup, but who knows for whom, and most of the girls were gathered in front of the gate, waiting to be seen by celebrities.

As i turned to go inside the hall corridor i heard the screeching sound of cars , and stop right at my place .

When the wind picked up speed, it felt like a storm was about to arrive. My face was covered in hair that floated back and forth, blurring my vision.
I got goosebumps all over my body and found myself holding my breath because I was both scared and excited at the same time.

The aroma, which was so strong I could only smell it, was all I could focus on while my senses were shut down.
Like muddy, fresh leaves, wild and moist.

"Saanj...Saanj...SAANJ!!"
I snapped out of my reverie, startled.

"Huh.."
"Are you okay? "Kabse awaj de rahi hu."
( I was calling you)
"Yeah, well, what happened?"
"Come on, Saaje has arranged sits for us. If we did not make it, we will be standing last."
"Hmm"

I dismissed the strange feeling I was having and followed Kriti into the hallway, where we saw Saje seated in the third-last row.
We are not going to be able to see the guest well from this distance, but that is okay, we are only here for the speech.

Since we were not really interested in watching the entire ceremony, we took our seats in the mostly dark corner.

As soon as every student had taken a seat, the door to the hall opened, allowing men dressed in black suits to enter and arrange themselves in a line to make room for others.

As soon as we turn to face it, someone wearing an all-black suit walks in and begins to move towards the front. Just as he gets ready to cross our line diagonally, he stops dead center, seemingly focused on something else.
Unknown about the men, I was experiencing the same strange sensation that I had just moments before in the hallway.

That same damp, muddy, moist, and forest smell pervaded the air.

I was left gasping for air because I could not tell when my heart began to pound in my rib cage.

giving me a strange sense of serenity and a distinct kind of excitement that I could not quite put my finger on.

I got locked into a very intense stare with this person and was about to look away.

It was then that I noticed the blue gleam in his eyes as he gave me a longing look and an intense stare.

Even though he was unable to see my face or my eyes, he was staring at me as if he had not seen me in a long time.

I am not sure how he looked because there was no light in the auditorium or hall other than what came from the back of the open door where he had entered and the front stage.

It seemed like an eternity before he heard something from the person behind him, and he got himself together before moving to the front.

I tried to put into words how I was feeling at the moment, but I couldn't.
His deep, husky voice sent shivers down my spine and made my blood race to my core when he spoke into the microphone, which was the worst part.

I experienced an odd feeling as though I had been hearing his voice my entire life.

I instantly felt wet as I crossed my legs because of an odd sort of pain in my middle.

"What in the world is wrong with me?"
I thought .

I am not sure if he heard me or if it was all in my head because I was seated in the last corner, which was not even visible from the stage.
However, he gave me a deep sniff, clenched his jaw, and gripped the microphone tightly before turning to face me and grinning a little.

His sly smile made me uneasy, so I shifted to take my place.

Upon the conclusion of the speech, I was the first to leave the auditorium and ran directly toward my classroom.

With my hand on my chest, I took deep breaths to calm him down and to stop my heart from pounding.

I had no idea what was wrong with me—first that dream, then this college so close to the forest, and now that shit person! Even his name escaped me because I was so engrossed in my thoughts.

The day soon passed as it was supposed to, and we made our way to the cafeteria.

As usual, the evening was cool because the hill station is encircled by trees, mountains, and forests, and the nearby town is encircled by snow.

I was dressed in jeans, a sweater, and sneakers.

The majority of the time, I was lost in my own thoughts and ignored what my friends were saying.

Soon after, someone suddenly appeared in front of our table, grabbed an empty chair, turned it, and sat on its flipped side.

I was taken aback by the abrupt interruption.
"What is up with a gorgeous girl like you attending this underappreciated college?"
The stranger's words caused me to frown as I looked at him.

"You might not have been here if this college had been undervalued, but I did not know that."

"Well, it appears that you are intelligent and beautiful. You are in one of Dehradun's top colleges. Dheeraj Raj Vansh, myself, would like to welcome you to our college."

I just kept staring at him and then his hands even though he was holding out his hand to me.

"Oh, please, I am not that horrible. You can shake my hand, and I swear I will not let go anytime soon."
He grinned while stating this, and I quickly thought of a few things while skipping a heartbeat and brushing them off.
"Saanj, veterinary stream," I said as I took his hands.
He gripped my hand tightly and shook it.
"Saanj, can we be friends since we share the same stream?"

Really like if I know for sure that if we shook hands with someone they already became our friend, then let it be; if you still have doubts, then let me find another one.
I shrugged, stepping away from his hands and saying so.

However, he grabbed my hand and began shaking it once more, saying, "No, I do not have any doubts. Come early and bright, okay? Tomorrow, I am going to show you around the entire college."

" off course, and meet my friend saaje and kriti "

After exchanging handshakes, we got to talking and introducing ourselves to one another.

I was just talking to everyone when I started to lose myself in the thought of the specific eyes and began to stare at the forest next to the cafe.
